~FAQ~

How do I book you for my wedding?

All bookings require a signed contract, upon confirmation of availability. To put together a contract for you, I will need the following details:

  • Event date

  • Starting time

  • Venue, city, and state

  • Duration

  • Indoor or outdoor event

Your contract will be emailed to you to be e-signed and a 50% deposit paid to secure your event date. Deposits can be made via PayPal, Venmo, or personal check. No event is considered booked without a signed contract and deposit.

How much is the deposit?

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required for all events booked more than 30 days in advance. Full payment is required with the contract for bookings less than 30 days in advance.

When is the balance due?

The balance for weddings is due no less than 30 days prior to your event. Some bookings may have different payment arrangements, in which case, your contract will list the due date for your balance payment.

Can you play a specific piece for my event?

There is a nominal fee for learning a song not already in my repertoire due to time and skill required, but I am open to all requests. For pieces not already arranged for the harp, let me know the title and I’m happy to do my best to accommodate any requests you might have!

Can you play for my outdoor event?

Yes, but in the event of inclement weather, the harp must be moved indoors due to its sensitivity to extreme temperatures and precipitation. It is strongly recommended that an alternative location be chosen if the temperature is outside of the 60-90 degrees range, or in case of rain or snow.

Does your harp need any kind of amplification?

Music played on the harp projects surprisingly well. The strings on my harp are the same used by harps that are able to hold their own in an orchestra. I am also able to adjust the volume of my playing to suit the mood and size of the event. Because the sound of the harp can be compromised by amplification, I do not provide my own, but I am happy to coordinate with a DJ or the venue if there are concerns related to the instrument’s volume.

Will you travel for my event?

Distances over an hour require a travel fee, and clients are required to cover all fees beyond playing (parking, valet, lodging, etc.). My services are focused in the Virginia area, but I am free to travel to the destination of your choice!
